Sep 24, 2016 · I reconnected the sensor (Just taped it to the side of the SSD) and restarted the computer… no more fan noise. If you’re getting loud cooling fans, check to see if there is a HDD temp sensor. (Most PC’s do not have this issue that I have noticed, in this case it was an older iMac with an SSD upgrade.)
